ZMTI 118: The Book of Revelation

Description:
The book of Revelation contains key elements of future events while pointing to Christ our victorious Lord. Many bible students shy away from the study of this book based on fears and misconceptions of its content. This class will give comprehensive attention to the themes and messages of Revelation through careful exegesis.

Samford’s Ministry Training Institute at the Hamilton County Baptist Association is a non-degree program that equips ministers and lay leaders for service in God’s Kingdom through quality biblical, theological and practical ministry education. We offer an array of educational opportunities including a variety of online certificates, pre-seminary training for college students, and diploma courses administered all over the southeast. The Ministry Training Institute also provides workshops and seminars throughout the year in a number of ministry related fields. Each course, seminar, or workshop is biblically based and administered with the highest quality and integrity. Whether online, in a classroom or through a workshop, highly qualified and experienced instructors lead each educational opportunity.
Goals
- To engage God’s people in the Scriptures.
- To train Christians to carry out the great commission.
- To equip Pastors, Ministers, Missionaries and church leaders to have a deeper understanding of their calling and their unique design to serve the Body of Christ.
- To provide opportunities for students to be trained and prepared for ministry opportunities in their churches and communities.
- To guide students to serve God with greater confidence as they are equipped with tools for ministry and service.
Program Overview
Diplomas
The Diploma in Biblical Studies and Advanced Diploma in Biblical Studies are offered through our extension network. The extension network, like the Hamilton County Baptist Association, offers 16 courses of standardized curriculum. When students finish 8 courses, they receive the Diploma in Biblical Studies. If a student completes all 16 courses, they receive the Advanced Diploma in Biblical Studies.
Certificates
Certificate courses are offered exclusively online and include Pastoral Leadership, Student Ministry, Worship Leadership, Ministry Communication and Global Missions. Certificates are earned after completing 4 courses of concentration. Courses are offered in a one-year cyclical format that provides convenience and flexibility for busy schedules.

Do you want to learn to teach ESL classes but don’t know how? We can help! Twice a year the Hamilton County Baptist Association hosts a training program for those who wish to TEACH English as a second language. This training is online, with modules for you to work through, as you read through your required manual. Everyone can go at their own pace, just as long as it is finished within the allotted time frame. There will also be a REQUIRED 5-hour video conference lesson, on Zoom, at the end of the training period. Start and End dates of the online modules: August 9th through September 6th. When is the end-of-course online call with instructor: the following Saturday, September 6th , from 9am-3pm LOCATION: wherever you use a computer COST: $50 for access to this training (non-refundable). There are two options for your required manual: a free digital download, or a printed manual, ranging from $9-13, depending on your ordering method. All instructions on how to receive this manual will come from Bailey Biddle after you fill out the registration form below. First, get in touch with us and let us know you are taking the training, by answering all the following questions. We will need to hear from you before you can register. FILL OUT CONTACT US FORM BELOW! Second, Bailey Biddle will be in touch with you to ask some follow-up questions, and explain how to pay for the training. After paying, you will need send your confirmation number to Bailey. Once you have sent your confirmation number, Bailey Biddle will send you what you need to make an account with the North American Mission Board. This is required to access the Pathwright site for your modules. Then, Bailey Biddle will give you information on how to get your Manual, required for this training: Finally, after being contacting by the instructor for the course, you will be given access to your online modules. This will happen one week out from the first day of training.

ZMTI 101: Biblical Interpretation

Description: In this class, instruction will be given in the various tools available today for interpreting the Scriptures and the critical role of the Holy Spirit. Students will learn how to interpret the Scriptures regarding the languages of the Bible, the context in which it was written, and how the various genres affect interpretation.
