Summer Missions

Riverbend (Scenic City Ministries including the County Tair, Color Cruise, etc.)

  • 8000 Salvation bracelets
  • 9000 Balloon Sculptures
  • 128 Volunteers from 11 churches

Mission Groups

  • Backyard Bible Clubs
  • Conduct Vacation Bible Schools
  • Repair & paint church facilities

World Changers

  • Completed 51 of 53 projects
    • 63 Professions of faith
  • HCBA churches hosted crews (800 participants during two weeks)
  • 20 Individuals each work serving as crew chiefs, supervisors and runners from HCBA
  • World Changers Coordinating Team was from HCBA, except for the construction coordinator

HaCoBACare Ministries

  • 90+ Volunteers each month (including R.C. Thornbury, director)
  • 8900+ Persons given food (Tuesday through Friday mornings, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM)
  • 300 Professions of faith and 188 rededications
  • Number 1 in providing emergency groceries through referrals by First Call for Help for the third year in a row
  • Health screening clinics with Health Department and immunication clinics
  • Computer classes
  • ESL classes
  • 300+ children given Christmas gifts
  • Assistance in job search for clients

English as a Second Language

  • 115 volunteer teachers each week
  • 19 centers
  • 800+ students from 43 nations
  • Training offered each August and January
  • Language Bibles, Jesus Videos, and student books provided
  • Center libraries provided
  • Teacher materials provided

Mission Support

  • 4 Hispanic, 1 Cambodian, 1 Philippine, and 1 Korean missions
  • River City Community Church, pastoral support
  • Primera Iglesia Hispana, pastoral support

Collegiate Ministries

  • Program support for BCM's at UTC and Chattanooga State

Consultation Services

  • Search committee orientation
  • Budget planning
  • Personnel matters--job descriptions, staff relations, payroll, conflict, taxes, reimbursables
  • Natural Church Development (NCD)
  • Resume Files
  • Business practices, policies
