Admit that you have sinned.
- We are all sinners by nature and by choice.
“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” (Rom. 3:23)
Believe in your heart that Christ died for your sin.
- “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
- “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal lifethrough Jesus Christ our Lord.”(Rom. 6:23)
- “But God commends His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners,Christ died for us.” (Rom. 5:8)
Confess with your mouth that you have asked Jesus to be your Savior and Lord.
- “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast.” (Eph. 2:8-9)
- “If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.” (Rom. 10:9)
- “Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His Name, He gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:12)
If you are willing to receive Jesus into your life now, you can invite Him in by prayer. You may use the following prayer or a similar prayer using your own words.
“Dear Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God and died to forgive me of my sins. I know I have sinned. I ask You to forgive me. I turn from my sins, and I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. I want to live for You the rest of my life. Amen.”
