| Church Library Ministry
In April, we met at LifeWay Bookstore for book reviews by the LifeWay Store staff. Sixteen people representing 9 churches from Hamilton and Bradley counties attended.
The Fall Regional Training Clinic was held at Cleveland First Baptist Church. The Tennessee Baptist Convention provided all day training in many areas of library work. There were 82 present representing 27 churches and schools from Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia.
We received annual reports from 15 churches. They reported a total of approximately 83,759 books, audiovisuals and equipment in their libraries with a total annual circulation of 26,966 this past year. Morris Hill is in the process of putting their library on computer and reopening next year.
The Associational Library Ministry Team is available to help start new church libraries or assist existing libraries with training new team members, etc. Also, LifeWay now offers four online courses for church librarians. Check this out by going to Lifeway.com and searching for Library Ministry. Also there are other helps available, such as mediagraphies, through this website.
